- This movie is very magical and musical. It is about two magical lands next to each other but is like two totally different worlds. One land is The Dark Forest where there is nothing but fear and evil. The other land is The Fairy Kingdom and in that place there is love and happiness. One sunny afternoon while Mary-Ann, the princess of The Fairyland Kingdom, was picking some flowers she noticed her fiancé waving to her because she and him were getting married today. She never knew that Roland (her fiancé) loved someone else. Mary-Ann figured that out when she saw him kiss some other girl. That made her leave both upset and fuming. Roland noticed Mary-Ann fly away and was also upset. But whatever he tried in order to get Mary-Ann back it failed. While Roland was doing that, Don (Mary-Ann’s sister) and Sunny (a male elf) were blowing dandelion seeds to get Mary-Ann to love Roland again. Mary-Ann said that she’d never love anyone EVER again. It was really funny when Mary-Ann got the best of Roland. Roland looked bummed. After a while Mary-Ann found her true love while Don was in captivity in the dark forest. When Don and Mary-Ann were getting out of the falling kingdom of the dark forest The Bog king to whom Mary-Ann loved was almost dead because the kingdom of the dark forest collapsed on top of him. Soon enough The Bog King came out behind her. She and The Bog King started singing together and looked happy.
- The thing I'll remember most about this movie (Strange Magic): it has absolutely stunning graphics! All the colors and the details in all of the characters - fairies and animals alike - as well as the realistic looking scenes. Another thing that I really liked was this movie was one of the first that my family has been able to watch together (and all stay interested!) for a long time. My little brother, who is almost 6, was captivated by the entire thing, he loved the music and vibrancy of the whole thing, and even the intense actions scenes didn't scare him, which is really good. And my parents laughed out loud at a couple funny points in the movie! Some of the songs in the movie really didn't appeal to me, personally, but I did like others for moods they created. I really liked how fast-paced this movie is, it never got boring but still was easy enough to follow. If you were a fan of Epic I'd say you'd like this movie, I found it to be (quite) similar, in its scenery and general theme. I liked that the moral of this story (and its almost directly stated, by a character in the end) is to not judge a book by its cover. Great for families!
